Two unbelievable incident struck Davao City few days ago. First was the flash-floods in some parts of Davao city, a more wicked thing happened that shocked everyone at the same time it made Davao even more popular not only in Mindanao but throughout the Philippines. Can you believe it? Mayor Sara Duterte repeatedly punched sheriff Abe Andres in the middle of a demolition activity in Agdao. I feel bad for Abe but I am on Inday Sara's side. Actually Mayor Sara asked for a 2-hour extension of the deadline to demolish the houses in Agdao but the demolition team pursued with their operation without hesitation. Inday Sara knew that if she was not there to negotiate with the people living in Agdao a riot will surely happen. Mayor Sara cares for the peace, order and human rights while Abe Andres cares for the property rights. What kind of a human being would care more about earthly things than human life itself? Mayor Sara just wanted the demolition activity to go smoothly. I was amazed by what Mayor Sara did. She was enraged by the people who was hurt from the riot and it made her punch the sheriff. A lot of people had some nasty comments to our beloved Mayor Sara Duterte. A lot of people could not fully grasp the big picture. Normally when a politician does nothing our fellow citizens let go of many spiteful comments. Then why is that when Mayor Sara take action our fellow Filipino's still let go of many malevolent comments? Political maturity does not only have to include taking sides, and living by it, more concrete political ideologies but it requires broad mindedness of everyone.
